Teed Up S4E11: In Denial

This week on Teed Up, hosts Matthew Gomez and Matthew Coleman are joined by fellow Long Beach Current Sports Assistant Jack Haslett to discuss the conclusion of the 2024 Major League Baseball season.

Throughout the episode, the group tries their hardest to cope with their most hated rival team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning the World Series after an epic collapse by the New York Yankees. Coleman lets out frustration with Yankees star Aaron Judge after yet another underwhelming postseason.

The group quickly shifts to looking ahead to next season, with the Los Angeles Angels already making moves to acquire Jorge Soler from the Atlanta Braves. They also discuss their predictions for where top free agent, Juan Soto, will land and whether the Dodgers are a dynasty.

To wrap things up, the hosts and Haslett debate whether the Long Beach Current should cover the Dodgers’ post-win festivities despite a lack of connection to Long Beach State, unlike the Angels.
