In this week’s episode, host Alex Gryciuk explores the vast world of graphic design with Payton Smith, a BFA Graphic Design student. Making waves on campus, Smith juggles a busy schedule as a BA Studio Arts Club board member, 22 West Media staff member and a graphic recorder for large conferences.
Creating inclusive spaces for students, producing visually appealing advertisements and generating accessible meeting notes are at the forefront of what she does. Smith’s passions and love of creativity further motivate and inspire her dream job of becoming a freelance graphic designer.
“Everybody should make art and you shouldn’t have any barriers for doing that,” Smith said.
