Thirteen players will return next season with hopes of building upon a 23-7 record, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation regular season title and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Head coach Alan Knipe said it starts with the team finding its “reference points.”
“I’m big on having the guys use everything they did good, and not so good, as reference points for later development,” Knipe said. “If we can use those as reference points to help develop our individual motivation, weights, conditioning, focus, intensity level and attention to detail in our gym, then it’s definitely going to help us.”
In all, the MPSF Coach of the Year said the experience should carry them into the offseason and beyond.
“I know that the young guys are soaking it in because they didn’t want it to end,” Knipe said. “I think that’ll be a big motivation for them to get back in the gym.”
