University Art Museum undergoes a makeover

With a vision to make art a primary part of Cal State Long Beach, donations to the University Art Museum are used to give the building a facelift.

“It’s an opportunity for students to gather and hang out, and there is more art to enjoy,” said Chris Miles, the Interim Dean of the College of the Arts.

Miles said innovations to the museum will include, a redesigned entryway, an expansion of museum gallery spaces, and a new plaza to host concerts, receptions, and other student activities.

  1. Because giving the art building a facelift is somehow more imperative then installing AC in the LAC buildings, providing upgraded computers, overheads, etc… or fixing the dangerous brick steps near the library..
