LBSU tennis fall season at ITA West Regional

No. 5 doubles duo Ebba Unden and Karolina Rozenberg lost to UC Irvine’s Sarah Gong and Marivick Mamiit on Saturday on the third day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association West Regional, effectively ending LBSU’s fall season until the spring season opens in January.

The 49er pair lost for only its fourth time all season in Saturday’s round of 16 at San Diego State’s Aztec Tennis Center.

Unden and Rozenberg had advanced to Saturday’s main draw doubles match after they defeated Grand Canyon’s Frederique Van de Velde and Janaki Gunuganti on Friday. Unden, Julie Gerard and Hayley Thompson all fell in singles matches Friday and couldn’t join the doubles team in advancing to Saturday.
