The numbers speak for themselves. I would even go as far as saying that the designation of CSULB as a Hispanic Serving Institution is a false statement to make, given the data that this article has presented.
Latinos are 27 percent of a growing student body, which means that the demand for Latino faculty at all levels will only increase. These systematic problems need to be addressed and a solution for them must be found.
