A 19-year-old male was arrested outside of the Muenster University Center the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 16 after the Vermillion Police Department received a report of vandalism.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, has been charged with intentional damage to an off-campus property, which is a class one misdemeanor and is punishable by up to one year in jail and or a $2,000 fine.
Captain Chad Passick said just before noon on the day of the arrest, the police department got a call that a window had been purposely broken at an off campus location. A few hours after the initial report, the suspect was then reported being seen on campus, he said.
The investigation is still ongoing, Passick said.
