By Long Beach State women’s basketball head coach Jody Wynn is Washington’s top choice to take over as the head coach for the Huskies, according to a report from Swish Appeal.
The SB Nation affiliate also reported that Wynn was on Washington’s campus over the weekend.
The interest comes as no surprise, after she led LBSU to the Big West Tournament title before coming up just short from beating Oregon State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in the 49ers first appearance in 25 years.
The Huskies are looking to replace Mike Neighbors, who took the head coaching position at Arkansas.
Wynn declined comment on the matter.
