Students compete in SRWC’s first triathlon

Sophomore psychology major Luis Stbezk runs on the treadmill during the triathlon event on Friday.

Students ran, biked and swam during a crash course in triathlons on Friday at the Student and Wellness Center.

Participants broke off into groups and ran two miles on treadmills before peddling five miles on recumbant stationary bicycles.  They ended the race with two laps in the facility’s olympic-size pool.

The center’s frist triathlon was meant to give people a taste of what they could expect during a full flegged three-legged race.
