Students buy, Student Government Association drives.
For the upcoming renewed rivalry game between the USD and SDSU women’s basketball teams, SGA will be arranging transportation to Brookings to promote match attendance.
SGA has 100 tickets available to students who want to go to the game and have busing provided to and from the Feb. 15 game. For $15, students will be able to purchase a ticket that will get them a ride to the game, into the game and a ride back to Vermillion afterward.
‘I think here in the next week or so we will be setting up in the commons and sell the tickets,’ said SGA President senior Blake Alberts.
He said SGA plans on using two buses for the game. The two 50-passenger buses will cost SGA about $1360, Alberts said.
SGA is still making arrangements, Alberts said.
‘We still have to hammer out the details,’ he added.
Alberts said a third bus might be obtained for those students that buy a ticket without SGA involvement and want a ride to the game.
‘We want to provide for as many people as possible,’ Alberts said.
