“Legally Blonde The Musical” has hit Los Angeles and is not disappointing its audience.

“Legally Blonde” is the story of Elle, played by Becky Gulsvig, proving to herself that she can do anything. After the fashion merchandising major is dumped by her boyfriend Warner (Jeff McLean) for not being serious enough for his life plan, Elle makes a plan for herself: The Plan to Get Warner Back. After putting down the credit card and picking up the books, Elle ends up showing herself how serious she can be when she gets into Harvard Law.

The story of “Legally Blonde” was originally a novel by Amanda Brown, and was later made into a motion picture. The musical kept the audience laughing with its adaptations of classic scenes from the 2001 film. The “bend and snap,” a technique used to attract men, held true to the movie, while the FedEx Delivery scenes were more entertaining than ever before. While there were some changes, they did not hurt the story line.

This show provided a good laugh, a good story, and the entire cast had amazing voices. “Legally Blonde The Musical” could have been extremely good or bad, but director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell knew what he was doing. This musical is one of the best motion picture adaptations brought to the theatre.

This show is perfect for a night on the town. The show is at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles until Sept. 6. The performance schedule is Tuesday through Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Ticket prices vary from $25-$95, for more details visit: www.broadwayLA.org.
