Those of us who value the sanctity of the institution of marriage have been silent for long enough! As God-fearing Americans — men and women alike — we must rise up against this tidal wave of anti-Christian, anti-morality fervor that has swept the state of California in recent years.
With an outrageous indifference to the will of the people of the great state of California, the state Supreme Court ruled that homosexuals had the same rights to marry as their heterosexual brethren.
The audacity! The unmitigated ignorance!
We must stand up and unite, my friends, against this blatant affront to the Judeo-Christian values upon which our society — indeed, the entirety of Western civilization — is founded upon.
Many of my fellow colleagues have worked to bring Proposition 8 to the ballot in California, an amendment to the California state Constitution that would “overturn the outrageous Supreme Court decision and restore the definition of marriage that was approved by over 61% of voters” according to the website protectmarriage.com.
But, my friends, I fear that this proposition does not go far enough. Indeed, the introduction of homosexual marriages into our society is a slippery slope that will create a perpetual avalanche of deviance and seduction that will endanger the minds of our impressionable Right-Wing Christian children.
Where Proposition 8 fails, however, is to cut off this issue at its source. If we are to truly end this ridiculous debate over the sanctity of heterosexual marriage we must take it one step further.
That is why I am starting a campaign for my own ballot initiative: Proposition H8. This proposition will also seek to amend the state Constitution by declaring in no uncertain terms that “only marriage between a man and a woman of the same race is valid and recognized in California.”
Proposition H8 overturns the ruling of activist judges in the case of Perez v. Sharp, in which the state Supreme Court — without any consideration for the will of the people — arbitrarily declared that anti-miscegenation laws violated the Fourteenth Amendment. If this case does not stand out as a precursor to the kind of judicial activism we are experiencing today, I don’t know what does.
Can you see the correlation? Do not the homosexual apologists claim that the gay rights movement (an oxymoron if I ever saw one) is parallel to the Civil Rights Movement? It is plain to see that the 1948 Perez v. Sharp decision set a harrowing precedent, the ramifications of which are still felt to this very day.
I urge all of my fellow Christians who support Proposition 8 to join me in my struggle to restore the sanctity of marriage. There is not enough space in this article to fully explain my position on this subject. If you feel as I do that the Christian institution of marriage is under attack and must be defended against the lances of the Left, I urge you to visit my website: proph8.blogspot.com, and voice your support for the defense of marriage.
Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it’s about time Californians started defending it as one.

What are Christians so afraid of? Homosexuality has been around for thousands of years….get used to it! They are not going away….they are citizens, taxpayers, parents, and voters.
