Men’s team takes Big West Championship; women finish fourth
The men’s squad won the Big West title in Northridge behind the 4×100 relay team’s first-place finish. Freshman Alex Goldberg, senior Brent Gray, senior Austin Fowler and freshman Kelsey Caesar finished with a time of 39.36. The women’s team had first-place athletes in the triple jump and discus. Junior Mila Mobley won the triple jump with a lifetime best of 41’1″, while senior Katelyn Ciarelli clinched the discus with a distance of 163’6″.

Dirtbags move to within one game of first place in Big West
LBSU trumped host Cal Poly in the weekend series with a 7-3 win Friday, 6-2 Saturday and 3-2 win Sunday. The Dirtbags, winners of four straight, are 14-7 in Big West play and will face first-place CS Fullerton at Blair Field next weekend for the conference title. However, LBSU faces Oregon State Tuesday night at Blair Field.
