49ers can clinch Big West Conference
Long Beach State closes the regular season with a three-game series against Pacific, starting with a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m. Game 2 will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion, and Saturday’s game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at the 49er Softball Complex. LBSU (37-14, 13-5 Big West) is two games ahead of UC Santa Barbara (28-23, 11-7 Big West) in the conference standings with three games to play.

LBSU to compete in conference meet this weekend
The 49ers will travel to Northridge for the Big West Conference Championships in an all-day event Friday and Saturday. Other members of the team will participate in the Claremont Invitational Saturday.
