New director of basketball operations
Jay Morris has been selected to be the team’s new director of basketball operations for the men’s basketball team, according to head coach Dan Monson. Morris was an assistant coach and strength coach for the Westchester High School boys basketball team last year.
Baseball
Dirtbags host Fresno State
LBSU (27-17, 9-6 Big West), coming off a series loss at UC Davis, will return to Blair Field to face the Bulldogs (28-23) at 6 p.m. The Dirtbags lost at Fresno State 7-6 April 1.
Women’s Tennis
LBSU vs. Denver – First Round
The 49ers will face the University of Denver in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at UCLA Friday at 10 a.m.
Grady makes NCAA singles
Junior Hannah Grady, ranked 82nd nationally in singles play, will compete in the NCAA Singles Tournament in Tulsa, Okla. The appearance will be Grady’s second and the tournament begins May 21.
