By The crowd in front of the Tecate Light Rock-N-Roar stage was so large, many people who bought tickets specifically for this event were turned away at the gates.
The concert was presented by KROQ and featured Hermosa Beach natives, Pennywise.
Attending the punk rock band’s concert was so important to people, fans rushed gates and stairways trying to break past security.
At one point, according to a staff worker who would only identify himself as “Mr. T,” fans lifted up part of the temporary fence and dozens ran under it.
Angry ticket-holders yelled at other staff workers and security guards demanding they be allowed entrance to a concert they had paid for.
A few people started climbing over fences or hoping walls in an attempt to get in to the concert.
For those lucky enough to get near the stage, Pennywise gave an energetic performance.
There was a large mosh pit and articles of clothing were flying everywhere. The members of Pennywise even threw cans of Tecate and Tecate Light into the audience.
After the concert, security cleared out the crowd. Nothing was left but empty cups, a few random single shoes, sunglasses frames and more trash that grass on the ground.
