A woman in her 40s was killed Wednesday night while crossing Atherton Street near Chatwin Avenue at about 6:15 p.m.
Long Beach police are still investigating after witnesses saw a woman get hit by a sliver pickup truck near Whaley Park up the street from Lower Campus.
A portion of Atherton has been shut down as of 8 p.m.
