Letter to the Editor – Student leader hates 49er

Daily Forty-Niner, you suck.

Most of the op/ed pieces you print are one-sided and full of fallacies by your leftist columnists. No, Mizraim Martinez, you cannot continue to promote groups that plan a take over of the American Southwest. I was really disgusted when I read your CNN racist hoax article on Monday.

I felt Martinez was really out of context when referring to the Minuteman Project a separatist group. However, that is the slippery slope individuals like Martinez tread on when advocating individuals to break federal laws, as if they are meaningless.

Furthermore, MEChA and La Raza are racist groups. They just like to keep their real agendas in the closet. For example, try Googling “reconquista” with MEChA or La Raza and you will find some very racist beliefs supported by the groups.

Also, check out the two groups’ main platforms. They are how-to guides on stealing social benefits and breaking every federal law in the book.

In regards to Martinez’s interpretation of Jim Gilchrist, I found his views to be flawed again as well. When one wants existing federal laws enforced, he becomes a villain? Being an illegal immigrant is a federal crime and immoral as well.

The only agenda I have, as the president of the Conservative Student Union, is to educate the student body on ignorant groups like MEChA and La Raza and promote a free forum to communicate traditional American values and conservative ideas.

Also, I hope to educate people like Martinez on the facts of illegal immigration and racism promoted by immigration reform groups. With the power of education, the true immigration reform agendas will be brought to light.

No, se puede.

– Jason Aula,

Conservative Student Union president.
