New feature checks honesty and responds to concerns
A new feature for the opinion page is our ombudsman-like “Feedback.” Feedback will be a way of addressing the issues readers present in letters to the editor, phone calls and other means of communication with the Daily Forty-Niner with concerns about our content. Feedback will be penned either by Editor in Chief Starr T. Balmer or a member of the Opinion/Editorial team, Opinion Editor Lauren Williams or Assistant Opinion Editor Aneya Fernando.
Feedback will strive to maintain an objective attitude when critiquing or reviewing controversial content published by the Forty-Niner.
This new feature is a response to the increased interest in the types of stories and columns published during the semester.
We are thrilled that our readers are engaged and are actively reading and critically thinking about the material we print.
