
University Police has announced another crime alert involving two suspects who assaulted and attempted to kidnap a female student last week.
According to the crime alert, on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m., a female student was walking to 7-Eleven from Lot 11A and noticed two suspects in an alleyway behind the store.
She finished shopping and returned toward the alleyway when both suspects approached her. They tried to grab her, but she broke free as they attempted to pull her toward the tree line at the north side of the parking lot.
The first suspect is described as being 6 feet tall with a muscular build, possibly a Hispanic male in his late 20s with dark shoulder length hair pulled back into a ponytail. He was wearing a black-hooded sweater, black Dickies and white shoes with black stripes.
The second suspect is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build, also possibly Hispanic male also in his late 20s with a shaved head and an inch thick of hair from the bottom of his lip to his chin. He has a left eyebrow piercing that has a bar with two studs and a tattoo on the back of his neck with old English writing. The suspect was wearing a dark blue sweater and black Dickies. Private security has been hired to secure the dormitories and police patrols have been doubled. Campus escort services provided by the Community Service Officers and University Police have been extended from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. They have extended their boundaries for anyone parked on residential streets.
University Police wants the community to be aware of all the recent attacks and know that all incidents are being investigated.
