The Princeton Review honored the College of Business Administration at Cal State Long Beach as one of the best 282 business schools.
The College of Business Administration has received various honors and recognitions, especially in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. H. Michael Chung, the director of Graduate Programs and Executive Education for the College of Business Administration, said he is proud of the accreditations the school has received.
“There are over 23,000 MBA schools in the world and only 147 are members of the GMAC and CSULB is a member,” Chung said.
The 2007 edition of the best 282 business schools is a compilation of schools all over the nation that are recognized for outstanding business programs. The Princeton Review based its rankings on the survey results of more than 18,000 students at 282 business schools. The ranking lists do not numerically order the schools in terms of overall quality, but they help to distinguish and identify the characteristics that are unique to each university.
CSULB was featured in the new edition because of its MBA program, which offers four different types to meet the needs of every of student. The department provides an evening MBA program, a fully employed MBA program and an accelerated program. CSULB also offers a corporate MBA program, which partners with businesses and corporations in the area to help prepare and train students to become future managers at those companies.
CSULB has also been accredited for more than 30 years with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation agency, which is considered the highest level for graduate and undergraduate programs.
“CSULB is one of only 267 schools in the world who are accredited by this agency for both undergraduate and graduate level,” Chung said.
