I wish I had enough money to donate to a charity only if Donald Trump would agree to never open his mouth again.
But sadly, I don’t, and even if even I did, I doubt there is any amount of money that could be donated to as good of a cause as silencing Trump.
Trump was back in the news again because he publicly blackmailed President Barack Obama.
Trump said last Monday to follow him on his Twitter and Facebook for a major announcement that will sink Obama’s chances of ever reaching a second term.
Instead, Trump released a vlog of himself asking Obama to make his college and passport records public, and in turn he will donate $5 million to a charity of Obama’s choice.
Trump, who flaunts himself as being the man who forced Obama to release his long-form birth certificate, claims that making these records public is the only way for Obama to be a more transparent president. Trump says that most people in the U.S. want to know Obama’s grades and whether his passport could have been forged.
The odds are that not too many people care about these records being released. It may be just the conspiracy theorists who still don’t believe Obama is an U.S. citizen – but these crazies also believe that we didn’t land on the moon, Elvis Presley is still alive and aliens landed in Roswell, N.M.
Of course, Trump makes this announcement just a few weeks before the election, when both sides are busier than ever.
Now the Obama campaign must make a decision of whether to swat Trump away like the pestering fly that he is or squash him with a new deal of their own.
Obama should release his records only under one condition: Trump donates the $5 million to a charity and also admits that he has the worst hairstyle on the planet by shaving his head. If that is real hair to shave.
