Slutty nurse, slutty cop or slutty nun? With Halloween coming up in a few weeks, now’s the time most women start brainstorming costume ideas for the big spooky parties they’ll attend.
When it comes to her costume, however, her options are pretty much a g-string and a bikini top with maybe a cape to cover her backside if she’s lucky.
What can she dress up as that allows her to cover up only the body parts that she is legally obligated to cover? She’ll be asking herself this when making her costume choice this year.
She could talk to her friends for ideas, look at pictures of costumes from previous years or even drive down some streets in the dead of night because maybe a hooker’s outfit might inspire her.
Instead of dressing like a street-walker this year, ladies, why don’t you say “no” to the perverse notion that you need to dress provocatively to have a successful costume Halloween night?
Say “no” to the costume makers that only offer you skanky options to pick from because that’s what they say you should wear as a female.
Most importantly, say “no” to the pig men who have made you think you only deserve their attention when you dress like a stripper on Halloween.
You’re worth more than that cheap thrill you’ll give those drunk guys at that party you’ll go to, who won’t even look at your face because the rest of you is more important at the moment.
We have let the most fun night of our childhood lives turn into a peep show for men. Don’t misunderstand me; there’s nothing wrong with a good peep show, but at least those women get paid.
On Halloween, however, while men are dressed like monsters and idiots, women are walking around and visually giving away their goods for nothing but a stare in return.
Remind yourself that exposing yourself to another human is a privilege that should be earned, not just given away because it’s Oct. 31.
There’s no need to generalize. Not all women are this way. If you go to almost any adult party on Halloween night, however, dressing like a hooker is an epidemic among the majority of women who are walking around with it all hanging out like it’s nothing.
There’s a soul and a heart inside that g-string and bikini top you might be wearing, but by dressing that way you are saying your body is the most important part of you to show people.
Why don’t you show off how smart and creative you are instead by coming up with a costume that shows everyone just how much thought you put into it and how genius you are?
Instead of showing off a boob, show off your mind by coming up with something that no one else has thought of.
Halloween can still be Halloween without you being completely naked.
We did it as children. We can do it as grown folks too.
Don’t, however, let anyone tell you that you have to expose yourself to be special on Halloween. That only means they don’t know how special you already are.
