Sarah Palin calls out Rahm Emanuel, comes off ‘retarded’

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is insisting President Barack Obama fire White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel after he stated liberal groups who promote running of health care ads against Democratic lawmakers were “f–king retarded.”

Former Gov. Palin took to her Facebook page Monday evening to post a tirade, which claims President Obama is “doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic,” after Emanuel was not confronted with any apparent consequences.

This seems perfectly reasonable, right? A major political figure is being called out for projecting crude and offensive language toward an undeserving group of people.

Is the self-pronounced hockey mom on her game for once?

Perhaps she is. Referring to a person or thing as “retarded” out of context is not only ignorant and intolerant, but also inconsiderate.

Sarah Palin couldn’t be more correct! She managed to articulate a sensible, cohesive thought. Shocking.

For decades, we as a people have struggled to understand and tolerate one another, and comments such as these, slowly derail all the progress we’ve made as a nation.

Wait a minute.

Sarah Palin must have been ghostwriting for me the last few paragraphs. A major detail has been left out.

This past Wednesday, conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh went on ranting and raving a “retard” bashing session, yet the former governor has remained quite mum about that.

Bummer, Sarah Palin. You almost made it off my shit list this week, until you decided to once again broadcast your hypocrisy.

A Democrat refers to someone as a retard, and he should be burned at the stake? Whereas a neo-con Republican throws around the same word as if it were a baseball, and the issue is never legitimately addressed?

2 plus 2 is not equating to 4 here.

Emanuel is a public official and Limbaugh is a talk show host. The comments made by our Chief of Staff may have more weight and influence on “the people” than those of Limbaugh. But, that’s not the issue here.

What is the issue is how a completely inadequate and hypocritical former vice presidential candidate can get away with her subjectivity on almost any situation.

One would think Palin would be especially affronted when a member of her own party so loosely uses the term “retarded.” Her youngest child has Down’s syndrome.

Yet, apparently the word is only offensive when uttered from the mouth of the “donkey.”

Had Palin directly addressed Limbaugh’s inappropriate soliloquy in the same manner she addressed Rahm Emanuel’s wrongdoing, she wouldn’t be stuck in such a pothole.

Instead, a member from Palin’s camp released a brown-word statement about the wrongness of saying the word “retard” in general.

It all goes to show how desperate for attention former Gov. Palin is. She has an overwhelming penchant for stepping in other people’s excrement time and time again, all while getting her Kate Spades dirtier than the time before.and expectations to all people. That means her buddies over at Fox News, too.

However, if she did that she might lose her job as a valued correspondent.

And what a shame that would be.
