Blotter: Recycling center burglarized

The campus Recycling Center was burglarized last Wednesday.

The fence at the campus recycling center was reported cut at 2:57 p.m. on Dec. 5, Goodwin said. Materials were taken from the recycling center, but no details on what was stolen are available, Goodwin said. A burglary report was taken, and no suspect information is available, Goodwin said.

 

Strange package found in men’s restroom

A male student reported an odd looking device inside the men’s student restroom inside the SSPA building at 2:16 p.m. on Nov. 29, University Police Sergeant Rick Goodwin said. University Police responded and deemed the device harmless, Goodwin said. The device possibly belonged to a student, and no details about the device are available, Goodwin said.

Loud lady on shuttle

A shuttle operator reported being verbally assaulted by a woman refusing to get off of the shuttle at the shuttle stop in Parking Lot 12 at 6:22 p.m. on Dec. 5, Goodwin said. Sue Barbara, 53, was a non-student and refused to leave the shuttle, Goodwin said. University Police found that no crime occurred and asked Barbara to leave campus, Goodwin said. She did so with no further incident, Goodwin said.

Parking wars

The drivers of a purple Kia and a green Ford Mustang were involved in a verbal argument over a parking space in Parking Lot 9 at 6:55 p.m. on Dec. 5, Goodwin said. No weapons were involved, and University Police counseled the drivers, Goodwin said.

Woman arrested in Parking Lot 1

A woman was arrested in Parking Lot 1 and booked into Long Beach City Jail after a criminal wants and warrants check revealed she had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants at 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 5, Goodwin said. Jacquelyn James, 24, failed to appear in court when promised on the misdemeanor traffic warrants, Goodwin said.

State’s MacBook stolen

An Apple MacBook laptop that is owned by the state was reported stolen from the Theatre Arts building at 3:48 p.m. on Dec. 4, Goodwin said. The MacBook was last seen in a black case on Nov. 30, Goodwin said. A report was taken, and no suspect information is available, Goodwin said.
