Blotter: Soap stolen from Kinesiology department

Twenty bags of hand soap were reported stolen from the Kinesiology building at 8:17 a.m. on Oct. 29, University Police Captain Scott Brown said. The theft occurred between Oct. 28 and Oct. 29, between the hours of 3 a.m. and 8 a.m., Brown said.

Thefts valued at $2,090 from Parkside College Dining Hall

Two thefts were reported minutes apart from each other in the Parkside College Dining hall on Oct. 29. A backpack and shoulder bag were both reported stolen from the bag storage aread in the dining hall, one at 7:18 p.m. and the other at 7:38 p.m., respectively. The loss of the backpack is valued at $490, and no suspect information is available, Brown said. The loss of the shoulder bag, which held a MacBook Pro, is valued at $1,600, and no suspect information is available, Brown said.

University Police said they are not certain if the thefts were connected but are considering the possibility.

iPad 2 left alone, taken from Horn Center

A woman reported the theft of her iPad 2 from the Horn Center at 4:19 p.m. on Oct. 30, Brown said. The student left her iPad 2 unattended, and when she returned, it was missing, Brown said. No suspect information is available, Brown said.

Obscene phone calls received at Brotman Hall

A Brotman Hall employee reported having received obscene phone calls at 2:19 p.m. on Thursday, Brown said. A report was taken, and the incident is under investigation, Brown said.

Bike stolen from Parkside College

A lime green beach cruiser with a white basket was taken from Parkside College building K between Oct. 26 and Oct. 27, Brown said. The theft was reported at 6:24 p.m. on Oct. 27, Brown said. The theft took place overnight, and no suspect information is available, Brown said.
